By The Way

Tino was looking so good!!! I forgot how sexy he really is. It's been two months since we made the break and I have been so busy that I don't actually think about him much.

But when he's standing in my face smelling so good, looking so bronzed and ripped, it was almost too much. And he knew it!!

Savvy spirit of restraint, please don't fail me now!

Surprise: Will You Marry Me?

Tracey was floored!!

She cried the minute she walked in and realized what was really going on.

It was beautiful.

And I have to say I felt some “wish it was me” pangs just seeing how happy she was.

Damien got on one knee and pledged his love and presented her with the ring and every woman in the room screamed!!

It is magnificent!

Like A Chicken With its’ Head Cut Off!

I love party planning and I get a strange exhilaration from running around at the last minute putting out mini dramas and this surprise party has been full of them.

Tracey’s mother (after a margarita too many) almost ruined the surprise today at lunch but thanks to some savvy thinking via a highly theatrical coughing fit, I was able to change the subject!! OH MY Goodness!!

Anyway, I will be lookin extra good tonight. And believe me when I say it has nothing to do with the fact that Tino (the major ex) is coming! (wink, wink)

This Weeks Escape From the Real World

flick was Houseboat starring one of the original savvy, sexy ones – Sophia Loren. I normally try to take these escapes alone but this week I felt like company and Jenn and Michelle came over.

I decided to pull out the luscious Gourmet Pasta that I got from flyingnoodle.com

Gourmet Pastas and Sauces on-line

The girls were impressed!

Party Planning

Party Planning

Ok. Most of the RSVP’s are in. I ordered the vino’s from BevMo (use code casecj for 10% off a case) and all the food has arrived.

I also ordered this ultra cute photo confetti from Confoti Confetti . It’s of pictures of Damien & Tracey on their different trips.

When she says yes (and she better), we will sprinkle to joint with it!!

And to set the mood, I ordered candles from Illuminations .

Summer Sale - 20% off site wide (125x125)

Damien called me today, freakin out because he and Tracey had a spat. I was like dude whatever, fix it! This party has taken up way too much of my time to cancel now!! OK?

This is an appetizer affair, so some of the things we are having are Jumbo Lump Crabcake icon & Spicy Shrimp Springrolls iconfrom Appetizers To Go. (Tracey’s favorite!)

I also ordered these luscious chocolates from Dan's Chocolates as a surprise for Damien who’s loved this stuff since birth practically.

Friday Should be wicked fun!!

Work It!!

I have not been making it to the gym as often as I would like, so I decided to get some things to use right here at home – no more excuses!

Anyway, in order for me to get motivated I decided to try things I had not before, like pilates!

So I went on Gaiam and got the Introduction to Pilates System
icon (so that I have a clue!). It was 40% off!

I also reordered the Revival Soy Shakes variety pack. I usually blend in strawberries or blueberries. It's delicious and because I am wickedly lactose intolerant, the fact that it is soy and not dairy makes it an even greater treat!

He said What?

Why did my landlord bring me my new lease and say that the rent increase will be $150 a month? Because of the unexpected heating costs from the winter, blah, blah, blah.

This is madness!

He chose to own a rental property and what did he think, that he would not incur additional costs at times?

Why do I have to pay for his lack of proper planning?

I have been putting it off but I guess it’s time – I’m going house hunting!!

I mean really, why should I pay him $1,150 a month for a 2 bedroom apt?!

At the least, if I am putting out that much a month, it should be accruing some kind of value & offering some kind of write-off for me!

So needless to say, I have to get real estate savvy on the quick!

First I checked out Homes101.net to get a feel for what is really out there.

And because this is completely new territory for me, I'm going to check out Lenders Block, Virtual Bank and eTrade Financial because I need to compare rates and get all sorts of information on home buying.

I want the lenders to fight over my dollars and so I need this ammunition!

And why is it that when you are young & female, all most people have to say is “get a condo,” “you’re young, don’t buy a house, you gotta take care of everything with a house”!

And well, so? I want that experience. I want the yard and the garden and more than that I want to get a DOG!!! And I need a place where she can have her own pad and room to roam and where she can chill outside all day long if she wants to.

This is exciting!!
